Tiramisu’ time!!! Baby recipe and traditional one ;-)

Tiramisu’, a traditional creamy delicious Italian dessert. The word “tirami su” in Italian means “lift me up”…and this is what this dessert does, lifts your spirit up!!!
Both me and Joanne from FifteenSpatulas LOVE the tiramisu’, so we decided to collaborate and prepare two versions of it, the traditional one and the baby one!

Joanna will show you how to make the traditional coffee and mascarpone Tiramisu’…a delightful, decadent, velvety indulgence for your mouth.
Check her channel for the traditional recipe:

And I will show you how to prepare a baby friendly fruit version without eggs, without mascarpone, without coffee, without sugar, but still delicious and creamy following the Tiramisu’ tradition!!

I think this recipe is a good idea for a 1st Bday party as all the ingredients are appropriate for your little one and it is really yummy and enjoyable by the rest of the party!! You can prepare a big Tiramisu’ cake and have fun decorating it with berries

Also, if you want to prepare it for a kids Bday party I would suggest to go for the “mono portion” idea I’ll show you. Kids love individual small cakes and those ones are colorful and beautiful to see…the “wow” effect is assured!
Considering the ingredients you can prepare this cake for babies too (I would suggest starting from 9 months). If you are concerned about potential berries allergies, you can always switch berries with fresh peaches or apricots, they will be as delicious as the berries.

Thanks Joanne from FifteenSpatulas for sharing with all of you the traditional Tiramisu’ recipe!
Check her channel and her blog, she makes amazing yummy healty recipes. Everything is from scratch and it’s easy to make. She’s also an incredible food photographer: every step of the recipe is showed in details and the final dish is so beautiful that your mouth will start watering just looking at the picture 😉

Hello. I have a question. For the “mono portion” of the fruit tiramisu, how big was the ramekin or custard cup did you use? Can you please recommend where you got the custard cups you used to do the mono portion?

    Thank you.

      Hi Maria!
for the monoportion I used a regular glass, like the one in this picture
      https://www.crateandbarrel.com/crescent-glasses/f14016
      the size is 3.25″ dia. x 3.25″H
any circular shape short glass will work. The size I used will make adult size portions, you can always divide them in half for kids!
I placed the ladyfingers and the cream as shown in the video and than I put the glasses in the refrigerator over night so that the following day the cream was firm and compact and the Tiramisu’ was easy to remove from the glass just gently turning it up down.
      You have two more options.
1 – place a layer of plastic wrap between the glass and the tiramisu’. it will help you removing the tiramisu’ once is cold and firm.
2 – you can also use two foils of parchment paper (the thicker, the easier) fold in half (3-inch-height) and taped in a cylindric shape. place the cylinder on a plate and start placing the ladyfingers on the sides and follow the same procedure of the video. the following day when the cream will be nicely firm, just remove the parchment paper very gently.
I hope I was helpful, let me know if you have any questions and enjoy the fruit tiramisu’!!
      ciao, b

I am planning to make the family version of the baby fruit tiramisu. Can you please tell me where you got the bowl you used to make the family version?

    Thank you.
