Barley fruit baby puree

We are at the end of the season and the very last good batch of fruit that you can find at the farmers’ market has all the powerful taste of the summer. they had a whole summer to grow under the sun and you can taste it!

we are going to bake our fruit (yesss!!!) in order to keep the intense taste (and color!!). and barley is a very good source of amino acids and lots of fiber.

If I do not have agave nectar. What should I add instead. And I have to say your semolina carrot fennel baby food recipe is a prized possession of our hoe now. My little one who is now of 7 months gulps it like anything. That is the only food recipe I think that she opens up her mouth to… I am so grateful to you for introducing me to your recipes. Right now I am trying to make each and every one of your recipes mentioned in your website.

    Thanks a ton,
    Love Suchismita

      Hi Suchismita!
Thank you so much for your comment, I’m so glad your little girl enjoys the healthy baby food that you are preparing and that BuonaPappa gives you some new ideas to try 😉
If you do not have agave nectar you can use maple syrup in the same quantity or 2 teaspoons of vanilla paste (not the extract as it contains alcohol and your baby girl is too young to eat it). You can also substitute the agave with 3 or 4 dates, they are a wonderful natural sweetener for babies.
Ciao and thank you for watching!!! b
